Rock Hard Ten sold to Korea

Multiple Grade I winner Rock Hard Ten, who has stood at stud at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Kentucky since 2006, has been sold to stand at stud by the Korea Racing Authority.

Bloodstock agent Rollin Baugh handled the sale and terms of the agreement have the stallion returning to the United States at the conclusion of his career.

A son of Kris S., Rock Hard Ten won a total of seven races, including the Grade I Santa Anita Handicap and the Grade I Malibu Stakes. He also captured the Grade II Goodwood Breeders’ Cup H., the Grade II Swaps Breeders’ Cup S., and the Grade II Strub Stakes. His lifetime earnings are $1,870,380.

Out of the champion Mr. Prospector mare Tersa, Rock Hard Ten is the sire of 10 graded winners from four crops of racing age including Nereid, winner of the 2011 Grade I American Oaks and Grade II winners Doubles Partner and Capital Plan. He stood the 2012 season for an advertised fee of $20,000.

Rock Hard Ten was bred by Madeleine Paulson Pickens and raced for the partnership of Pickens and Mercedes Stable LLC.
