Ever So Lucky scratched from Hutcheson

Trainer Jonathan Sheppard said Saturday morning that Augustin Stable’s Ever So Lucky would be scratched from today’s $150,000, Grade II Hutcheson Stakes.

“He needed to have some good strong gallops during the week because we gave him a little bit of a conservative work (Monday),” Sheppard said. “The track wasn’t that great that day, and it’s been (sloppy) since. I discussed it at some length with (Augustin Stable’s George) Strawbridge Friday.”

Sheppard said he would look at several options for Ever So Lucky, including Grade II Swale Stakes on March 10.
